Menu Applications

The Ranch Steak is similar to the Top Loin or Sirloin Steaks and can be alternatives to these cuts in center of the plate or ingredient applications. Here are some ideas for this cut to get you started.

Appetizer Ideas

Vietnamese-Inspired Steak Spring Rolls: Marinate Beef Ranch Steak in a traditional Asian marinade. Grill steak to medium rare and slice thinly. Prepare a citrus-based vinaigrette and toss together with steak, shredded red cabbage, mint, cilantro and green onions. Place mixture in rice paper wrapper, roll and slice on the bias. Serve with a wasabi-crème fraiche dipping sauce.

Southeast Asian Beef Satay: Cut Beef Ranch Steak into thin strips; marinate briefly in traditional Southeast Asian marinade, of oil, fish sauce, lime juice and garlic. Weave beef strips onto wooden skewers and grill to medium rare. Serve with spicy peanut dipping sauce.

Lunch Ideas

Grilled Steak & Roasted Veggie Wrap: Grill Beef Ranch Steak, rubbed with garlic, thyme and coarse black pepper to medium rare. Carve beef into slices and toss with roasted red pepper, zucchini, yellow squash and eggplant. Wrap in large flour tortilla spread with herb-flavored spreadable cheese.

Grilled Steak with Red Pepper Coulis and Wild Mushroom Ragout: Season and grill Beef Ranch Steak to medium rare. Fan steak slices over a pool of roasted red pepper coulis garnished with fresh basil leaves and serve with a wild mushroom red wine ragout.

Steak Ideas

Chipotle Steak with Roasted Corn Relish: Grill Beef Ranch Steak to medium rare; brush with chipotle barbecue sauce during the last few minutes of grilling. Serve with additional sauce, roasted corn relish and sweet crunchy grilled onions.

Whiskey Ranch Steak: Grill Beef Ranch Steak to medium rare and top with Bourbon whiskey infused steak sauce. Serve with seasoned steak fries, tossed salad and garlic bread.

Tequila-Lime Ranch Kabobs: Cut Beef Ranch Steak into pieces and marinate in a combination of tequila, lime juice, oil, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper. Thread onto skewers with onions, mushrooms and bell pepper pieces. Grill to medium rare and serve over a bed of Mexican rice and refried beans.

Salad

Greek Steak Salad: Transform a classic Greek salad into a satisfying lunch or light dinner entrée. Brush Beef Ranch Steak with a Greek-style vinaigrette and sauté until medium rare. Carve into slices; toss with lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, Greek olives and additional vinaigrette. Serve with toasted garlic pita chips.

Country Club Steak Salad: Lightly season and grill Beef Ranch Steak to medium rare. Carve into slices and layer over a bed of fresh greens. Top with Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, bacon, chopped egg, tomato and old-fashioned ranch dressing.

Ranch Steak Salad: Season and grill Beef Ranch Steak to medium rare. Carve into think slices and toss with romaine lettuce, sweet bell peppers, grilled corn, fresh Pico de Gallo and French-fried onions. Drizzle creamy Ancho chili dressing over salad.
